Rounding out the whites were interesting interpretations of Pinot Blanc and Traminer, with the majority of the bottlings leaning towards freshness as opposed to richness. Laurent, while interesting, do not make very elegant wines.

WHEW what a trip
Amongst spending some time with my girlfriend I also got to experience some really interesting wines from Italy. We were able to tour their sparkling wine facility which was extremely interesting as I have never seen the process that sparkling wines take.

Life in the Fast Lane: The Indy 500 and Wine
Wouldnt wine make a much more interesting victory companion if you had to drink something unadorned and without food? These tragic vagaries haven't stopped an interesting sponsorship, or one of the track's favorite veterans from jumping in to the world of wine.

May 24, 2006 - Valandraud Wine Dinner
Starting in 2005, Thunevin is going to have his hands in this so it would be interesting to taste the results. Might be even more interesting with some bottle age.

Zinfandel tasting
Interesting thing about this wine, on release it was quite oaky and not “classic” Ridge. Dark ruby with a positiviely huge black pepper aroma, with sweet pie filling and dry herb aroma, all very interesting.

Old News with Fresh Perspective, Notes
Interesting in that he found a brand-spanking new academic journal dedicated to the semi-annual review of the economics of wine. And, the real interesting aspect of it, is it allows wine experts to use their embedded knowledge to create vertical search portals off of inquiry strings.

Goats do Roam White (2005)
Blended from a mixture of Chenin Blanc, Clairette Blanche, and Riesling (with a touch of Viognier and Grenache Blanc to keep it interesting), this is a great little summertime sipper. There’s no wood to be found, but we did come across lots of fruit (peaches and green grapes) along with some interesting hints of spice.

Wine spies discover GM wine?
Interesting in that one person commenting suggests that perhaps that the way to greater public acceptance of GM technology is through the wine/alcohol markets. The hypothetical heat resistant vine they envision would be an interesting application.

Central Market (near Highland Village Shopping Center) -- I surrender . . . . I liked it.
As to wines, I have to admit that Central Market has a very interesting -- even eclectic -- selection. I picked up a cheap, interesting Tempranillo to try.

Water Wheel Vineyards, "Memsie" 2004
Water Wheel Vineyards, Memsie, Bendigo, Australia 2004 ($17) - An interesting blend of 83% Shiraz, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Malbec.

2000 Skouras Saint George
Low tannins--quite light, but with enough acidity to keep things interesting.

FALESCO LAZIO SYRAH - 2002
It has a very old world "terroir" style taste which makes it a unique and interesting Syrah in a marketplace flooded with California fruit bombs.
