Christmas day was rainy, dark and dreary in Memphis. I suspect this
is why I was drawn to the bright and happy label on this Sauvignon

Parkers influence on the wane?
Wine
industry research provider Wine Opinions has reported that the big
blokes influence maybe on the wane. The survey of 403 high-end wine
drinkers by website Wine Opinions found 48% of respondents cited
Parker’s recommendations as having ‘no influence’ on their decisions
regarding whether to purchase wine costing US$20 or more.

Chilean dessert wine from the Rio Claro region is a lovely, light
golden nectar that has a beautiful, candied bouquet of honey. An

In Margaret River
After
a five hour flight and four hour drive we had the perfect introduction
to Margaret River….a beer was placed immediately in my hand, followed
by a drive down to Prevelly and a bottle of Cape Mentelle Chardonnay
2003 consumed sitting on the grass at the rivermouth watching the

“Best Buy” but have not been able to find it in three different states.
But I was in Bangor, Maine and when I inquired of the wine shop
attendant, he said some guy had been in bought this wine and said it
was the best Chenin he had ever had.
