Portland Indie Wine Festival Select Wineries
The fifth annual Portland Indie Wine Festival has announced the names of the 40 Oregon craft wineries and sixty-one wines selected for the 2009 Festival.
"This was a record-setting year in terms of the diversity, quantity and quality of the wine entries," said Lisa Donoughe, PIWF founder. An all-time high of 194 wines were submitted by 69 wineries, many of whom have just released their first or second vintages.

2009 San Diego International Wine Competition Winners
Paso Robles and New York dominated Best of Show.
Paso Robles California wines took top honors, with Eberle Winery's 2007 Barbera claiming the prize as Best of Show red and Eagle Castle's 2008 Syrah Rose winning Best of Show rose.
Dr. Konstantin Frank's 2007 Semi-Dry Riesling from the Finger Lakes region was awarded Best of Show white wine and Wolffer Estate's 2007 Late Harvest Chardonnay, an ice wine produced in the Hamptons, was best dessert wine.
